Revitalization Completed, Van Der Pijl Park Officially Opened to Public in Banjarbaru

Banjarbaru - Banjarbaru City now has the first certified Child Friendly Play Space (RBRA) in South Kalimantan. Van Der Pijl Park, which has been revitalized, was officially opened to the public by the Mayor of Banjarbaru, H. M. Aditya Mufti Ariffin, on Friday night (10/01/2025).

The inauguration of this park took place in the playground area of Van Der Pijl Park, which was marked by a button pressing by the Mayor. This button pressing triggered the tower lighting and dry fountain, adding a festive feel to the event.

In his speech, Aditya Mufti Ariffin emphasized that this park is not just a place to play, but also has an important role in supporting various aspects of child growth.

“This park is expected to be a safe and comfortable place for children to play, while supporting their physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, and moral development,” said Aditya.

Aditya also reminded that this park can be well maintained as a shared responsibility between the government and the community.

“This park was built with considerable funds, so we need to maintain and take good care of it so that the benefits can be felt by more people,” he added.

Van Der Pijl Park operates every day from 08.00 to 22.00 WITA, except on Thursdays which are devoted to maintenance. Visitors can enjoy all park facilities free of charge.

Various facilities available in this park include slides, seesaws, spring horses, indoor musical instruments, mini library, musala, children's sinks, public toilets, and disabled toilets. The park is also equipped with a dry fountain, CCTV, and a 24-hour guard for visitor safety.

The inauguration of this park is part of the Banjarbaru City Government's efforts to support the 2030 Child Friendly Indonesia program, in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 25 of 2021. (Ald/Adi/MedCenBJB/Eyv)
